Plain-language definitions of every term used in Daily Question.

How to use this page

Look up any term you've seen in the app. Each entry is one or two sentences and links to the article that goes deeper.

Terms

Admin. The role with full access: campaigns, members, billing, settings. See Admin, Manager, Member: who can do what.

Audience. The set of people who get a campaign's questions. Can be everyone, a group, or specific people. See Choose who gets which campaign.

Benchmark. An industry reference score shown next to your Health Score on built-in themes. See How your Health Score is calculated.

Campaign. A series of daily questions sent to a group over a set period. See What is a campaign?.

Group. A named set of members. Used to target campaigns. See Use groups.

Health Score. A 0-100 number summarizing how positive your team's answers have been across a campaign. See How your Health Score is calculated.

Manager. A role that can run campaigns and see results for groups they own. See Admin, Manager, Member: who can do what.

Member. A role that receives daily questions and reads Touchpoints, but doesn't see the dashboard. See Admin, Manager, Member: who can do what.

Organization. Your team's workspace inside Daily Question. Has members, campaigns, banks, and a billing relationship.

Question bank. A set of questions a campaign pulls from. Can be built-in or custom. See Built-in question themes, explained.

Rotation. The order in which questions from a bank go out. Shuffled per campaign so consecutive days don't repeat. See How questions rotate each day.

Seat. One person in your organization, regardless of role. Plans are priced per seat.

SSO. Single sign-on. Sign in with Google or Microsoft instead of a password. See Change your email, password, or account details.

Touchpoint. A short note from an Admin or Manager. Not a question, not anonymous. See Touchpoints.

Unsubscribed. A member who has stopped their team's emails using the link in any email's footer. The block is per-team (other teams keep emailing), persistent (it survives across sessions), and reversible only by the member from their profile page. See Stop or restart your team's emails.
