What you'll do
Set a campaign's start date, end date, and learn how the daily send actually works in practice.
When questions send
By default, questions send at 9am in each person's local time zone. If a teammate is in New York and another is in Berlin, both get their question at 9am their time. You don't have to think about it.
If someone hasn't set their time zone, we send at 9am UTC and prompt them to set it on their next sign-in.
Weekends and weekdays
Campaigns send Monday to Friday by default. We skip Saturdays and Sundays so weekend inboxes stay quiet.
If you want weekend sends (for an on-call rotation, for example), turn on Send on weekends in the campaign settings.
Skip a specific day
Pause the campaign for the day and unpause it the next morning.
What happens at the start
The first question lands at the configured send time on the start date.
If you create a campaign with a start date in the past, no back-dated questions are sent. The first send is the next scheduled time after creation.
What happens at the end
If you set an end date, the last question lands on that date and the campaign moves to Ended. The dashboard stays available so you can review the trend. Campaigns without an end date keep running until you end them.
Common questions
- Can I send at a different time? Yes. Open the campaign settings and change the send time. The new time takes effect on the next send.
- What if someone is on vacation? They keep getting questions. They can answer when they're back, or skip them. Skipping doesn't penalize anyone.
- Why 9am local? People are most likely to answer when the question lands at the start of their workday. We tried other times. 9am wins.
